Is god according to the quran more merciful than the bible says he is?

i'm not sure what the bible says, never read it, but be sure that Allah is merciful enough to make you ashamed of anything wrong you've done in your life, coz it only takes a step from you to ask for his mercy, be honest about it, and he'll grant it to you.
