I'm 5'11 but everyone says I look short?

Ok so I'm going out with a girl who is 5'7 and I'm 5'11 but people think I'm shorter then her? I don't slouch, I'm not chubby I weight 150 but people say I look short from far away? Why is this? And i don't wear baggy clothes either
