Bibliography help? Microsoft Word 2008?

ok i need to make a bibliography in the mla format, and i know how and everything, but when i type the first line, and it goes on, to the second line, it won't let me indent. cause u know how ur suppossed to indent the second line? y won't it let me indent? if i try to then it indents both the first and second line. i have microsoft word 2008. do i need to adjust something??
